Vietnam North South by train or by bus

I plan to travel throughout Vietnam from North to South around 3 weeks.
I start my trip from Hanoi and would like to make  several stops in route like Hue, Danang, Hoian, Nhatrang and then to Saigon. What are the best options to go by train or car?

If you budget can cover, plane is the best option. It saves times.
Beside  plane, train is the second option. Distance among places is far so travel by car takes time and tired.
