We have 3 weeks in Vietnam next January , fly in Hochiminh and fly out Hanoi.
We really want to experience some beautiful beaches where I can relax and get some sun, some culture and history, tradition villages and not so tourist parts. So we thought about having 2 days in HMC and then making my way to the MEKONG DELTA FOR 2-3 days and then on to PHU QUOC Island for 2-3 days, is this a realistic plan?
Is it possible to get a flight from Phu Quoc to Hoi An?? Then start to make our journey up to Hanoi by train/bus. Once there we will spend our time in Hanoi and Halong bay before leaving
Any tips, advice would be greatly welcomed
With 3 weeks in your hand, you can discover the whole beauty of Vietnam. About your first question, the answer is YES; your plan is definitely realistic. Personally, you should spend 3 days for Mekong Delta and 3 days for Phu Quoc to visit and enjoy the charming beauty of one of the most highlights in Vietnam.
About the second question: There is no direct flight from Phu Quoc to Hoi An. Moreover, Hoi An does not any airport, but you can get flight to Da nang airport and then take a taxi to Hoi An. You have to go via Ho Chi Minh airport before flight to Da Nang. Hoi An is worth in order that you learn more about culture, history and discover the unspoiled beauty of An Bang beach. I suggest you should spend 3 days for Hoi An. After that, you transfer to Da Nang railway station to Hanoi.
Hope this information is helpful for you.
Have a nice trip!
