Boat from Katha to Mandalay

Boat from katha to mandalay is the  good choice? Which boat should I choose? How long does it take from katha to mandalay ?

There is a local fast ferry to Mandalay leaves Katha 5 am arriving Mandalay approx 8pm. But it depends on the water level, so it’s better to check shcedule in advance.
