I’m traveling with my friend to Bangkok, then Chiengmai and onto ChiengRai,
We are keen to get closer to the border. We ‘ve heard that the boat trip allow us to cruise around golden triangle and then onto Luangprabang. Any advises, suggestions to do this? Is the boarder dangerous?

Yes, after you cross the border, the cruise takes you from Hoeisay travel around and onward to Luang Prabang.
