What is all about Elephant festival in Laos? Do you know the calendar of this festival for 2015 and 2016? Does this help in all Laos cities? Is it recommended to attend ?

The Elephant Festival in Laos take place from 13-15 February (Elephant Festival). This celebration take places only in Sayabouly District, Sayabouly Province
The event features a competition of 60 brightly adorned elephants competing for the title the “Elephant of the Year”, along with elephant processions and bathing, mahout (elephant training) demonstrations, traditional Buddhist blessings, fun fairs, night markets, and live music and dance performances.
