Hi,

Muang Long is a mountainous district west of Muang Sing that shares a 50 km-long border with Myanmar.

There are over nine ethnic groups in this heavily Akaha district. Other ethnic groups in the area include Thai Leu, Kouy Soung,  Hmong, Kouy Luang, Laen Taen, and Tai Daeng.
The main attractions in Muang Long is trekking to unspoiled hill tribe villages, the beautiful scenery along the Long river, the Long District morning market and spending time seeing life in a small Lao village.

The best way to get to Muang Long is throughLuang Namtha in the north west of Laos.

Buses run every day from Huay Xai, Oudomxay, Luang Prabang and Vientianeevery day.

It is also posible to travel by boat run from Luang Prabang to Huay Xai and then from Huay Xai to Muang Long.
