Hello
We are planning our trip to Southeast Asia this year. We would travel to Laos from Thailand.
In Laos we would visit Vientiane, Van Vieng, Luang Prabang. (open to anymore suggestions )
After that we want to go to Cambodia and visit Stung Treng, Kratie,Phnompenh, Kampong Chhang,Siem Reap and Banteay Chhmar (again open to any suggestions) before going back to Thailand
I wonder how to get to Cambodia (preferably Stung Treng) from Vientiane.
Your suggestion is appreciate.

Hello there,
Firstly, If you want to go Cambodia after Laos, I recommend that you should visit Luang Prabang, Van Vieng and then Vientiane (Luang Phrabang-Van Vieng-Vientiene is one of the popular iteneraries) because you can transfer to Combodia by taking flight from Vientiane. You can use Laos airlines with domestic routes are US$70 + taxes, international are US$120 + taxes . After going to Pakse, you take the bus to go to Stung Treng.
If you want to avoid flight, you can choose Laos-Combodia Bus and you have to change the bus over twice time: one in Pakse and another in Kampong Cham and then stop in Stung Treng.
