Hi, I’m just staying 2 weeks in the capital, I’d like to know good places to eat local food, I’m bored of fast food and pizzas. What do you recommend to go in the old quarter or even farther ? (i’ve a motorbike).

So many restaurants serves good food now.
Ngon Villa. – Tong Duy Tan Street
Hanoian Kitchen. 
Uu Dam Chay – vegetarian food
Quán Pane e Vino 3 Nguyễn Khắc Cần (Italian Food)
NHat Nuong – For babeque
Quan Ăn Ngon

Banh Cuon Ba Hanh restaurant is one of highly recommended in Hanoi.
If you are looking for interesting drink, something like egg coffee or coconut coffee then Mint Cafe is a good choice
