My friend and I are planning a trip to Laos and Veitnam and would like to do a small trek , maybe 2-3 days, but can’t decide whether to do one whilst based in Luang Prabang or Hanoi.

Ideally I don’t want to travel more than 5/6 hours (by road) from the city to the start of the trek.

Any advice?
