My husband and I will have spend 8 days in Vietnam.
We know that it is quite short time, therefore, we only choose to visit some places in the North Vietnam.
We consider Ninh Binh, Mai Chau and Halong. If having more free time, we will go to visit some villages on the outskirts of Hanoi.
We are open to any suggestions.
Thanks
Hello there,
With 8 days in your hand, you definitely discover most of highlights in the North Vietnam. However, I think if you want to visit Hanoi capital, villages on the outskirt of Hanoi, Mai Chau, Ninh Binh and Ha Long in 8 days , it is quite rush. Therefore, I recommend that you should choose Mai Chau or Ninh Binh instead of both two places. In the case you still want to travel to these two places, you should cancel one another place, villages on outskirt for example. Here are my itineraries to travel to the popular places in one week, you can consider it:
Hanoi-Mai Chau- Ha Long
Day1: Hanoi arrival – puppets show in the evening
Day2: Hanoi city tour
Day3: Hanoi-Duong Lam village-Tay Phuong pagoda
Day4: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Cycling Mai Chau valley
Day5: Mai Chau – local market – trekking remote villages
Day6: Mai Chau-Hanoi
Day7: Hanoi-Halong-cruise boat trip
Day8: Ha Long- Hanoi.
Hanoi-Ninh Binh-Ha Long

Day3: Ha Noi – Mai Chau
Day4: Mai Chau-Ninh Binh
